Press Secretary

Core responsibilities:

• Serve as a spokesperson, handle media inquiries, and represent End Citizens United in interviews, press conferences, and public events
• Craft clear, compelling, and consistent messaging on issues related to campaign finance reform, voting rights protection, and combatting corruption at both the federal and state levels
• Proactively pitch stories to media outlets and work with reporters to secure coverage of the organization's campaigns, events, and key policy issues
• Write press releases, op-eds, talking points, speeches, and other materials to promote the organization's initiatives, campaigns, and legislative priorities

This role amplifies the organization's work to fix democracy, get big money out of politics, and protect voting rights by shaping public narratives and securing media coverage that advances democracy reform efforts nationally.

Required qualifications:

• Multiple campaign cycles of experience in media relations, communications, and public relations
• Multiple campaign cycles of on-the-record experience
• Strong writing skills with ability to craft compelling press materials and clear messaging
• Proven ability to build relationships with reporters and secure media coverage
• Deep understanding of campaign finance reform, voting rights issues, and democracy reform
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
