About the Role / Overview

Responsibilities / What You'll Do
- Perform detailed bulk power system studies using various power system software such as PSCAD, PSS/E, PSLF, TSAT, ETAP, etc.
- Conduct IBR modeling: steady state, short circuit, and dynamic in PSSE
- Conduct IBR operational capability analysis: voltage/frequency ride-through assessment using PSCAD.
- Perform assessments for compliance with NERC operation and planning reliability standards.
- Prepare technical study reports for all studies performed.
- Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.
- Process, generate and maintain data as required for other engineering related studies.
- Identify training needs and present to the management as needed.
- Perform other assigned duties in relation to client services and deliverables.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven knowledge of power system
- Proven team player with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly with respect to explaining technical matters.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Have high standards in producing quality reports and products that he/she shall own with pride.
- Strong technical report writing skills.
Bring your passion, here's what's needed:
- Bachelor's (and higher) degree in Electric Engineering with an emphasis in electric power systems
- 2 - 3 years of experience as a power systems engineer
- Experience performing power system impact studies such as Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability
- Experience with power systems software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, TSAT
- Experience automating/programing in Python
