Job Description
As a member of the FP&A team, the Senior Analyst will be involved in all aspects of BPG’s Private Funds portfolio financial analysis, supporting the preparation and maintenance of a wide array of analytical reporting, modelling and presentations. This dynamic position requires extensive collaboration across various business units across Brookfield, including Asset Management, Investor Relations and Finance and Operation teams within BPG and at the portfolio companies.
Responsibilities
- Review quarterly valuation, performance, and projections of the private funds
- Review annual business plans of the private funds investments
- Maintain private fund models in accordance with the LPA
- Prepare monthly reporting including liquidity requirements and foreign exchange analysis of the private funds
- Present monthly liquidity position and quarterly valuation updates to key stakeholders including Private Fund’s CFO and other department team members
- Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to complete quarterly and monthly deliverables
- Perform and manage ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting required by senior management or other groups
- Participate and assist in the continuous improvement of systems and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 2-4 years of Finance experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Proficiency in iLEVEL or Anaplan is a plus
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to details
- Familiarity with Real Estate valuation approaches such as Discounted Cash Flow and Direct Capitalization
- Understanding of common return metrics such as Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Multiple of Invested Capital
- Ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Benefits
Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations. Salary Range: $70,000 - $110,000
