Photographer/Videographer

Core responsibilities:

• Recording high-quality video footage, ensuring professional framing and lighting
• Taking high-quality photographs, ensuring professional composition and lighting
• Edit raw footage into polished videos, ensuring clarity, coherence and professional quality
• Apply UN branding guidelines, including logos, fonts and colour schemes
• Add captions/subtitles in English (and other languages if required)
• Incorporate graphics, animations and transitions where appropriate
• Ensure audio quality (noise reduction, volume balancing)
• Deliver videos in multiple formats suitable for web, social media and presentations
• Maintain consistency in style and tone across all videos
• Consult with UNIDIR regularly to receive and incorporate feedback and coordinate with other contractors

This role supports UNIDIR's disarmament research and advocacy work by creating professional visual content that communicates important disarmament issues to global audiences.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Experience recording high-quality video footage with professional framing and lighting
• Experience taking high-quality photographs with professional composition and lighting
• Video editing skills to create polished, coherent videos
• Ability to apply branding guidelines consistently
• Audio editing skills including noise reduction and volume balancing
• Ability to deliver content in multiple formats for different platforms
• Collaboration skills to work with project teams and other contractors
