Philanthropy Director

Core responsibilities:

• Create and implement an ambitious fundraising plan for the organization's next stage of growth
• Maintain existing funder relationships while cultivating and pitching new funders, including individual donors, family offices, and foundations
• Develop, grow, and manage the fundraising pipeline, including raising regranting dollars for partners and making infrastructure investments
• Contribute to the organization's strategic planning process and shape the philanthropic/fundraising perspective

This role creates positive change by securing the funding needed to transform heavy industry for climate, jobs and justice, drastically reducing dangerous emissions and making industry accountable to communities and workers.

Required qualifications:

• At least 15 years of increasing responsibility in fundraising with proven track record cultivating 7- and 8-figure philanthropic relationships
• Deep familiarity with U.S.-based philanthropic networks, institutions, and resources, especially relating to climate, jobs and justice
• Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple conflicting priorities
• Experience with strategic planning at the organizational level and ability to contribute from the fundraising perspective
• Strong vision for systems, processes, and documentation, including constituent relationship management (CRM) software

Compensation and benefits:

• Annual salary: $176,000
