Performance Engineer

Core responsibilities:

• Own the operational performance engineering and reporting for esVolta's deployed BESS, focusing on system performance improvement.
• Evaluate asset performance against contractual commitments during execution and operation phases, and create baseline reports.
• Develop software to generate actionable insights from performance data using data mining and statistical analysis techniques.
• Create systems for automatic reporting of Energy Storage health and deploy interventions based on management by exception criteria.

This role helps transition the nation's electric grid to a cleaner and more reliable future by optimizing battery energy storage performance, supporting renewable energy integration, and ensuring reliable fast-ramping capacity for utilities.

Required skills and qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in energy storage.
• ABET accredited bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in Engineering and/or data science. Professional Engineering status preferred.
• Highly proficient in software engineering with experience in Python, SQL, data visualization, and artificial intelligence.
• Experience working with Cloud computing services and databases.

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary: $130,000 with 20% bonus potential
