People Operations Associate

Core responsibilities:

• Own day-to-day administration of people systems (Rippling, Lattice, Tilt, Jira), including continuous improvement through automation and AI-enabled workflows
• Manage onboarding, offboarding, benefits and leave administration, compliance, and contractor onboarding and offboarding with accuracy and consistency
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee People & Culture questions via the help desk and direct support
• Execute and manage logistics for engagement surveys, performance cycles, and continuous feedback processes

This role enables Carbon Direct's team to do their best work in support of climate action by serving as the operational backbone of the People & Culture Team, allowing senior leadership to focus on organizational health and scaling programs for the growing global team.

Required qualifications:

• Experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or Benefits Administration
• Hands-on experience administering HRIS, LMS, and people systems (e.g., Rippling, Lattice, Tilt, JIRA, or similar)
• Strong operational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and execute reliably
• Proactive, improvement-minded operator who can streamline workflows, leverage automation and AI, and thrive in a fast-growing, remote-first environment
