Payroll Operations Manager

• Manage end-to-end bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing for employees across multiple states, entities, and employee populations.
• Administer payroll-related provisions of employee agreements and collective bargaining agreements, including union dues, pay differentials, and seniority-based adjustments.
• Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and allocate payroll costs accurately across cost centers.
• Serve as primary point of contact for payroll inquiries and drive process improvements to scale operations.

• 5+ years of payroll experience, including complex multi-state payrolls; experience with unionized workforces and California payroll strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with payroll/HRIS systems (Workday, ADP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to handle confidential information.

Salary range: $90,000-$120,000. Comprehensive benefits include free medical plans and 401K matching. Equity and variable pay may also apply.
