Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities include:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of payroll tax reporting and equity administration functions, ensuring accurate data transfer across systems and appropriate tax treatment.
- Own and execute month-end accounting and bookkeeping for payroll and equity cycles, including reconciliations and stock-based compensation accounting.
- Manage communications and reporting for annual payroll and equity tax documentation (e.g., W-2, 3921 forms) to ensure correct data for employees and contractors.
- Drive automation and efficiency in payroll and equity processes as the company scales, serving as a primary point of contact for external audit teams.

Required qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information systems, or related field, with 3-5 years of payroll and equity accounting experience at a public company.
- Strong understanding of common payroll and equity tax issues and ability to reconcile data across multiple systems like ERP, equity, and payroll tools.
- Proficiency in payroll and accounting systems, with process-oriented and public company experience, and comfort in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Analytical, forward-thinking, solutions-oriented, and an effective communicator with quality focus and sound judgment.
