Partner (Policy & Government Programs)

Core responsibilities:

• Lead initiatives on Capitol Hill and grow the government funding portfolio
• Represent Convergent Research in policy circles and interface with NSF/OSTP/agency leadership
• Serve on FRO boards, mentor founders, and ensure FROs have strategic partnerships and resources
• Translate ambitious science into language that unlocks sustained public support

This role creates positive change by securing government funding for moonshot science through Focused Research Organizations, enabling breakthrough scientific institutions that solve technological bottlenecks and unlock new fields.

Required qualifications:

• Seasoned operator with experience navigating federal policy and institutional design
• Ability to speak "fluent bureaucrat-ese" and navigate government funding systems
• Experience building things and working at the intersection of breakthrough science and policy
• Belief in ambitious, high-integrity science without incrementalism
