Our Virginia Outdoors Coalition Coordinator

Core responsibilities:

• Coordinate coalition activities including scheduling meetings, maintaining documentation, and compiling monthly reports
• Maintain coalition website and social media presence by generating content and managing communications
• Build relationships with constituents and conduct outreach to raise awareness and recruit new members
• Provide policy analysis and create resources to help policymakers understand the importance of dedicated funding for natural resources

This role creates positive change by advocating for dedicated funding to combat development pressures and climate change impacts, helping preserve Virginia's natural resources for current and future generations.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years working for community-based agencies or organizations
• Knowledge of outdoor, trail, or park advocacy and/or land conservation
• Exceptional organizational skills and aptitude with websites and social media
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with ability to meet deadlines

Compensation: $50 per hour (contract position, no staff benefits)

This is a one-year position starting in April 2026 with potential for extension

Our Virginia Outdoors is a coalition of land trusts, trails advocates, and urban conservation groups advocating for dedicated funding for natural resources in Virginia to combat development pressures and climate change impacts.
