Open Call for 3D Visual Artist Freelancers and Studios (Contract)

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain a cohesive 3D visual style across assets and projects, curating references and translating them into clear style guides.
• Model high-quality 3D assets for renders, animations, and digital use, balancing speed, flexibility, and visual fidelity based on project needs.
• Produce high-quality renders with full control over lighting, materials, camera, and composition, preparing assets for use in design, video, and marketing deliverables.
• Collaborate with a wide array of disciplines, from engineering to marketing, to support Oklo's storytelling across digital, video, and experiential media.

This role creates positive change by supporting Oklo's mission to deliver clean, reliable, and affordable energy at scale through advanced fission power plants, helping communicate their vision through compelling 3D visual storytelling.

Required qualifications and skills:

• 3–5 years of experience in 3D modeling, rendering, or digital visual design with a strong portfolio demonstrating skill with 3D modeling, rendering control, and visual consistency
• Proven ability to establish and match visual styles across multiple assets
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere)
• Passionate about clean energy and making advanced fission a reality, with excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment

Compensation and work details:

• Hourly rate: $50-$125 (rate may fall outside this range based on experience)
• Contract position with project-based work
• Remote work with requirement to travel to headquarters (Santa Clara, CA) twice quarterly
• Fast-paced, highly iterative startup environment with opportunities for growth and creative problem-solving
