What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless data transfer between all platforms
  • Design and deploy network architectures supporting data offload and live telemetry from airborne products to on-prem and cloud (AWS) endpoints
  • Configure and maintain links over VPNs, satellite, cellular, radio, and fiber/copper connections
  • Design, implement, and configure mesh networks to support redundant communication paths between aircraft and ground stations
  • Configure firewalls and routers using VLANs and tunnels to ensure proper traffic segmentation and routing
  • Monitor network performance, conduct proactive maintenance, and respond to incidents to assure service reliability
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of network topology, configurations, and security controls
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and planned maintenance windows

Profile

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fieldโ€”or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of professional network engineering experience
  • Proficiency in VPN configuration and management
  • Experience with corporate network topologies including firewalls, switches, and access points
  • Expert-level knowledge of LAN and WAN-based technologies and protocols, including BGP, SD-WAN, OSPF, Layer 2/3 Switching & Routing
  • Proficiency in VLAN configuration, management, and troubleshooting in complex network environments
  • Proficiency with Linux network configuration and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of cloud networking (AWS VPC, Direct Connect, site-to-site VPN, Azure VNet, etc.)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to build and support great teams; foster teamwork, collaboration, and transparency
