Mission

What you will drive

Solom champions a future where businesses and ecosystems thrive together. Our solutions empower organizations to monitor and understand their nature dependencies, addressing not only carbon emissions but the broader ecological impacts of operations.

Join us as we transform ecological data into actionable insights, fostering business decisions that protect biodiversity.

Code the bridge between nature and business

We're not just building another sustainability platform. We're creating technology that helps a small farmer in Malaysia protect pollinators while improving yields, or enables a family manufacturer in Indonesia to reduce water impacts while cutting costs.

Your Mission: Make nature intelligence accessible to everyone, everywhere - even with spotty internet, old phones, and limited digital literacy. Your code will be the bridge between cutting-edge ecology and everyday business decisions.

Internship Opportunity:

We’re seeking software engineering students or recent graduates who embody our mission. Ideal candidates bring technical curiosity, a passion for biodiversity, embody these below qualities, and are willing to learn.

Visionary Creators

* Build and launch tools, platforms, or systems from the ground up, independently or as part of a team.

* Proficiency in Python, SQL, and frameworks like Flask, Django, or JavaScript (React, Node.js).

* Leveraging containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) to ensure scalability.

Innovative Problem-Solvers

* Designing scalable APIs, data processing pipelines, or cloud-based solutions (AWS, GCP).

* Developing skills in geospatial analysis, machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow), or dashboard development.

* Automating workflows to improve data accessibility and impact.

Ecological System Builders

* Developing applications using GIS data, ecological modeling tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, R, or Google Earth Engine).

* Creating systems tailored to biodiversity monitoring, conservation, or regulatory compliance (ESG, TNFD), with a focus on data-driven ecosystem analysis.

* Passionate about advancing solutions at the intersection of technology and sustainability.

Timeline:

Flexible internship arrangements (remote and part-time) for 3-months with pathway to full-time conversion.

Why Solom?

Impact That Matters: Your work will help small businesses worldwide understand and protect the nature they depend on. This isn't theoretical - you'll test your solutions with real businesses facing real challenges.

Mentorship: Learn from top professionals from NUS, Columbia, Oxford, and MIT in conservation, policy, and data science.

The Moment is Now: Join us as we prepare for a defining moment in early 2026 - proving that nature intelligence can work for everyone, everywhere. Your internship isn't just about learning; it's about changing how the world thinks about business and biodiversity.
