Mission

What you will drive

  • Support the execution of strategic program priorities to advance TWSโ€™ goals, educating staff and supporting external partners on conservation issues impacting Tribal Nations and Indigenous communities.
  • Build relationships with Tribal Nations, Indigenous-led organizations, and diverse stakeholders; participate in coalitions and planning of public/private gatherings.
  • Assist in developing written and visual materials such as fact sheets, blogs, and action alerts to demonstrate policy impacts.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in issue advocacy, political campaigns, or advancing public policy changes at local/state/federal level.
  • Experience building relationships with diverse stakeholders and working with Native/Indigenous people and communities.
  • Knowledge of public lands, environmental, or conservation issues impacting Tribal Nations is helpful but not required.
  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and organizational skills; willingness to travel up to 3-5 days per month.
