What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of climate information services (CIS) that strengthen climate risk management across agricultural value chains
- Generate, interpret, and validate seasonal, sub-seasonal, and short-term forecasts, translating them into user-tailored advisories, climate outlooks, and risk bulletins
- Develop climate services products (e.g., drought/flood alerts, crop-specific advisories, extreme weather warnings) to support agricultural extension and farmer decision-making
- Lead climate services API integration with digital platforms, dashboards, mobile apps, and early warning/early action systems

What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications and skills:
- Master's degree in Meteorology, Climate Science, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Hydrology, or related field with 8+ years experience, or PhD with 3+ years experience
- Professional experience in operational climate services, climate-agriculture applications, or climate risk management
- Demonstrated experience interpreting seasonal/sub-seasonal forecasts, downscaling climate data, and generating CIS products
- Proficiency in climate data analysis tools (Python, R, GIS, climate portals) and understanding of API integration and digital platform development
