Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Lead or contribute to the Bank's dialogue with executing units to support program planning and implementation by applying advanced technical knowledge, project management tools, and methods.
- Lead or support the identification, development, and implementation of complex education sector projects, programs, studies, or main activities in Suriname.
- Conduct and/or coordinate moderately complex research and analysis, contributing to the development of innovative knowledge products related to the education sector in Suriname.
- Support policy dialogue with the Government of Suriname, development partners, and other stakeholders by proposing evidence-based and context-appropriate solutions.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications:
- Master's degree in education, economics, public administration, public policy, sociology, or other relevant fields.
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in the education sector in developing countries, including promotion, programming, design, financing, supervision, execution, and evaluation of education projects.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) required; additional Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, or French preferred.
- Citizenship of one of the IDB's 48-member countries and eligibility to work in the job location without sponsorship.
