๐Ÿ“ Tips for Applying to Shatterproof

1

Tailor your portfolio to highlight projects that simplify complex information or evoke emotional responsesโ€”show how you've used design for social impact or nonprofit causes. - In your resume and cover letter, use specific examples of how you've built or improved design processes, demonstrating your 'builder's mindset'. - Research Shatterproof's current campaigns and mention how your design skills could amplify their message in your application. - Since the role is remote, emphasize your experience with remote collaboration tools and your ability to manage projects independently. - Proofread meticulously and ensure your application materials are visually polishedโ€”this is your first design test.

โœ‰๏ธ What to Emphasize in Your Cover Letter

- Your passion for Shatterproof's mission and how it aligns with your personal values. - Specific examples of how you've used multimedia design to drive engagement or change behavior. - Your ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and your experience building systems from the ground up. - How your collaborative skills have enhanced cross-functional projects, especially in remote settings.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Prepare for These Interview Topics

Based on this role, you may be asked about:

1 How would you approach designing a campaign to reduce stigma around addiction? - Describe a time you turned complex data into a compelling visual narrative. - How do you handle feedback from non-design stakeholders and iterate on your work? - What's your process for managing multiple projects with tight deadlines? - How do you stay updated on design trends while ensuring consistency with brand guidelines?

โš ๏ธ Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Submitting a generic portfolio that doesn't showcase storytelling or data visualizationโ€”this role heavily relies on transforming information. - Ignoring the mission-driven nature; failing to express genuine interest in addiction advocacy can be a dealbreaker. - Overlooking the remote aspect; not demonstrating self-discipline and strong communication skills for remote work.
