Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, ESGBV

Core responsibilities:

• Develops monitoring and evaluation frameworks, tools, processes, and practices for the ESGBV programme that respond to both donor and International IDEA needs; Coordinates and leads the activity and outcome reporting of all programme evaluations and the monitoring of results
• Leads the development and production of all reporting under the programme, including quarterly, yearly and final reports; Produces reports and presentations on M&E data as required
• Supports ESGBV planning and the compilation of partner inputs; Assists effective collaboration between the programme partners; Supports effective collaboration between the ESGBV project managers and M&E officers
• Contributes to capacity building and training for national partners on monitoring and evaluation related processes; Provides ongoing internal training; Supervises the Associate M&E Officer

This role contributes to reducing Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) in Nigeria by strengthening monitoring and evaluation systems that support legal frameworks, survivor services, and social norm change, advancing Sustainable Development Goals 5 (Gender Equality) and 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).

Required qualifications and experience:

• University degree in development studies, social sciences, or related field (incomplete in description but implied)
• In-depth knowledge and experience of programme implementation, monitoring, evaluation and learning systems, techniques and practices, including outcome mapping tools and processes
• Experience leading strategic planning, results-based management and reporting; Guides the formulation and monitoring of projects
