How to Apply for Molecular & Cell Biologist - Weekend/Evening Shift
at PopVax
🏢 About PopVax
PopVax is a unique full-stack biotech company that integrates machine learning-driven design with empirical research to develop novel RNA vaccines and cancer immunotherapies. What sets them apart is their integrated RNA Foundry facility in Hyderabad, which combines R&D with GMP-capable clinical dose production, enabling rapid iteration through tight feedback loops. Their ambitious 'Million Lives Mission' to save 1 million lives annually through vaccines against Hepatitis C, Strep A, TB, COVID-19, influenza, HPV, and cancer immunotherapies makes this a mission-driven opportunity backed by prestigious funders like the Gates Foundation and BARDA.
About This Role
As a Molecular & Cell Biologist on the weekend/evening shift at PopVax, you'll be conducting hands-on experimental work at their RNA Foundry facility in Hyderabad, likely focusing on RNA medicine development, vaccine design, or immunotherapy research. This role is impactful because you'll contribute directly to their pipeline of first-in-class vaccines and cancer treatments, with your shift schedule supporting continuous operations critical for their rapid iteration approach. Your work will help advance programs that are scheduled for Phase I clinical trials starting in mid-2026.
💡 A Day in the Life
A typical day would involve conducting molecular biology experiments (cloning, PCR, sequencing) and cell culture work in their RNA Foundry facility during evening or weekend hours, likely focused on optimizing RNA constructs or testing vaccine candidates. You'd collaborate with colleagues on other shifts to maintain continuity in experiments, analyze data from previous runs, and contribute to their rapid iteration cycles by implementing design changes based on recent results. Given their integrated approach, you might also interface with manufacturing or quality control aspects of their clinical dose production.
