Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Represent Minnesota journalists and news organizations in litigation involving access to judicial records/proceedings, freedom of information, and other First Amendment matters
- Provide legal counsel to Minnesota journalists on newsgathering, access to information, libel, and privacy issues
- Draft amicus briefs and supervise junior attorneys on cases presenting important newsgathering and First Amendment issues in Minnesota
- Conduct trainings for journalists and news organizations on media law topics and First Amendment rights
