Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Support the development, implementation, and periodic review of the midwifery profession improvement program, aligning midwifery issues with national and sectoral strategic frameworks.
  • Facilitate the deployment of midwives in the health reserve to provide life-saving services for women and newborns in humanitarian contexts.
  • Establish relationships with stakeholders for maternal health human resources in Burkina Faso to promote a coordinated, multisectoral approach to strengthening midwifery practice.
  • Contribute to the systematic integration of sexual and reproductive health interventions in humanitarian responses, aligned with UNFPA's Country Program priorities.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience OR High School certificate with 5 years of experience.
  • State Diploma in Midwifery/Midwifery; advanced diploma in SIO or SOG.
  • Mastery of French and functional level of English.
  • Experience in maternal health, reproductive health, and humanitarian contexts.
