Mission

What you will drive

Provide psychosocial support to at-risk journalists and media professionals in East Africa through individual and group sessions, both online and offline, as part of the MiCT Fellowship for Critical Voices program.

  • Deliver individual and group psychosocial support sessions to media makers in East Africa.
  • Assess and coordinate MHPSS needs among program fellows.
  • Offer trauma-informed care to journalists in crisis and conflict regions.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Proven psychosocial counselling qualifications.
  • In-depth knowledge of trauma-related support preferred.
  • Experience analyzing and coordinating MHPSS needs.
  • Availability to provide group therapy sessions online.
  • Experience working with journalists and people in active crisis and conflict regions preferred.
  • Counselling available in Arabic and/or English language preferred.
  • Working knowledge of English is required.
