About This Role
This role involves providing individual psychosocial support sessions (MHPSS) to at-risk journalists and media professionals, digitally and ad-hoc. You'll be a crucial lifeline for fellows who face trauma and mental health issues, helping them continue their vital work. The role is remote and flexible, allowing you to make a direct impact on journalists' well-being.
💡 A Day in the Life
A typical day might involve checking in with fellows via video call or phone, providing one-on-one counseling sessions in your language(s), and being on-call for urgent support. You may also coordinate with MiCT staff to ensure fellows are connected to appropriate resources, and document sessions (anonymized) for reporting purposes.
