Membership and Events Associate

The Membership and Events Associate will provide excellent customer service to SRCD members and support the Membership and Events teams. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting iMIS database queries, supporting the annual membership renewal cycle, and assisting members with account and payment issues.
• Providing administrative support for webinars and events, including registration, scheduling, and on-site coordination.
• Responding to inquiries from members and nonmembers, assisting with marketing efforts, and ensuring website membership information is accurate.

This role supports the Society for Research in Child Development in advancing developmental sciences and promoting research to improve human lives by ensuring smooth membership and event operations, thereby enabling the organization to effectively serve its community.

• 2+ years of customer service experience.
• Excellent writing and language skills, attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft products (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom).
• Knowledge of membership databases (iMIS highly preferred), report and query building, and email marketing systems.

This is a full-time position based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area (DMV region). SRCD operates primarily as a remote organization, with a coworking space in D.C. and monthly in-person gatherings. The salary range is $55,000 to $59,000, commensurate with experience.
