What you will drive
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop enclosures, brackets, and other mechanical components for ECUs, sensors, control modules, and power electronics, focusing on high-volume, cost-effective manufacturing.
- Support the execution of mechanical reliability tests (e.g., vibration, thermal cycling, environmental stress) on ECU enclosures and analyze field performance data to identify mechanical design issues.
- Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) analyses to optimize designs for production and work with suppliers to ensure components meet automotive quality standards.
- Act as a subject matter expert for mechanical design best practices and generate technical documentation including mechanical test plans, reports, and qualification summaries.

What makes you a great fit
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in product development with a focus on mechanical design for electronics, preferably in automotive or related industries.
- Proven experience designing, validating and manufacturing mechanical enclosures for electronics with expertise in CAD software (CATIA preferred) and strong understanding of GD&T.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical stress and life testing, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience working with global suppliers and contract manufacturers.
