Resource Innovations is seeking a Market Engagement Lead (Business)to join our growing team in Louisville, KY. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Market Engagement Lead with a strong background in energy efficiency in the commercial and industrial sector to join our dynamic team. As a Market Engagement Lead you will play a pivotal role in driving engagement initiatives, fostering relationships with trade allies, and making a positive impact in the community through utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs. 

The ideal candidate possesses the right mix of organization, verbal and written communication skills, industry knowledge and interpersonal skills to succeed in this position. In this role, you will collaborate with an existing program delivery team identifying and implementing outreach strategies to inform business customers on program benefits, engage trade allies and program partners, drive participation, interface with utility clients and maximize energy savings to achieve program goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with and support Program Manager on establishing and executing targeted outreach initiatives to drive program engagement and success.
  • Prepare, deliver, and facilitate program trainings for partners and contractors (e.g., Lighting, HVAC) to ensure effective participation and promotion of LGE & KU’s Business Rebates Program.
  • Develops, manage, and strengthen long-term relationships with contractors, fostering engagement and loyalty.
  • Design and implement outreach strategies to recruit new contractors and retain existing partnerships, enhancing program reach and participation.
  • Deliver compelling sales and program training presentations to equip contractors with a clear understanding of the value and benefits of rebate programs.
  • Guide contractors in identifying qualifying projects and associated rebate opportunities to maximize program impact.
  • Support contractors with application completion, submission, and follow-up to ensure successful program participation.
  • Respond to program inquiries promptly to provide clear guidance and support
  • Train and support contractors in using new software tools that streamline program processes and reporting
  • Track and report outreach activities and contractor engagement through CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Other duties as assigned to support program objectives

Requirements

  • Associate degree or at least 5 years of relevant industry experience, including 2+ years in a related function such as professional sales, account management, marketing, business management, customer service, or project management.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a personal vehicle for contractor and customer site visits.
  • Must be willing and able to travel locally, primarily in Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky areas for program initiatives.
  • Ability to work from home when not in the field for customer visits, contractor visits, or program events.
  • Background in construction, HVAC, mechanical, building controls, utility Demand Side Management (DSM), energy efficiency design, or other building-related experience preferred
  • Ability to self-manage in a professional environment and proactively take initiative to drive tasks or explore new approaches.
  • Humbly confident with a demonstrated ability to quickly build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels, effectively communicate concepts, and manage multiple time-sensitive priorities concurrently.
  • Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment

Compensation & Benefits

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location.
