Managing Director

• Oversee strategic development and implementation of SSPI's Summer Science Program, including program operations, partnerships, and alignment with mission.
• Lead program innovation and continuous improvement based on research, data, and community feedback.
• Manage program budgets, grants, and resources; prepare reports for the Board of Directors.
• Develop partnerships with external organizations and academic institutions to secure new program locations and resources.

This role shapes immersive science education experiences that ignite curiosity and inspire lifelong passion for discovery, particularly expanding access for first-generation and historically underrepresented students in STEM.

• Minimum 10 years of progressive nonprofit experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership managing education programs.
• Proven track record managing personnel, complex logistics, and program portfolios; experience leading teams of 10+ full-time staff.
• Expertise in strategic planning, program development, operational team management, and budget oversight.
• Understanding of STEM education principles, curriculum development, and equity issues for underrepresented populations.

Salary: $150,000 annually. Full-time, exempt position. Remote work with travel 25-30 days per year.
