Mission
What you will drive
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting and payroll team, ensuring clear priorities, coordination, and shared accountability.
- Provide strategic oversight for accounting and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and integrity across financial reporting and transactional activities.
- Partner across departments to integrate accounting, payroll, and financial considerations into organizational planning and decision-making.
- Lead the annual external audit and tax return preparation, and establish internal control policies and procedures.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- 10+ years of experience as an accounting director, controller, or similar role at a nonprofit organization.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. nonprofit accounting principles (FASB 958, 606), payroll operations, internal controls, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and strengthen accounting operations within a complex organization.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex financial information to leadership and cross-functional partners.
