Managing Director of Accounting

• Lead, mentor, and oversee a high-performing accounting and payroll team, ensuring operational integrity and effectiveness.
• Provide strategic oversight for accounting and payroll functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Partner cross-functionally to integrate accounting considerations into organizational planning and decision-making.
• Lead annual external audit, tax return preparation, and maintain internal controls.

This role ensures Multiplier's financial integrity and operational effectiveness, enabling the organization to accelerate impact across land and ocean conservation, public health, clean energy, and other critical areas.

• 10+ years of experience as an accounting director, controller, or similar role at a nonprofit organization.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. nonprofit accounting principles (FASB, GAAP), payroll operations, and internal controls.
• Proven ability to lead and strengthen accounting operations in a complex organization.
• Excellent communication skills; Spanish language skills a plus.
