Managing Consultant, Sediment Site Investigation & Remediation Management Engineer / Scientist

• Lead high-profile sediment investigation and remediation projects from concept to completion.
• Shape technical strategies and introduce cutting-edge digital tools and data analytics to optimize project outcomes.
• Mentor and inspire teams, fostering growth and excellence across ERM’s SI/RM practice.
• Build strong client relationships and expand ERM’s market presence through exceptional delivery and strategic business development.

Your leadership will influence projects regionally and nationally, while connecting with ERM’s global network to advance best practices worldwide, delivering solutions that protect waterways and restore ecological balance.

• Bachelor’s degree in aquatic sciences, engineering, geology, chemistry, or related discipline.
• 4+ years of consulting experience with CERCLA-style state and federal sediment site investigation and remediation projects.
• Proven project management expertise and ability to lead multi-person teams.
• Strong "seller/doer" track record—proposal writing, winning projects, and client engagement.
• Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and mentoring skills.
• Advanced knowledge of sediment regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to travel for site visits and client meetings.
• Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.

For the Managing Consultant, Engineer / Scientist Sediment Site Investigation & Remediation Management position, the anticipated annual base pay is $80,800 – $118,233 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
