Job Description: The Opportunity

The Manager Project and Parts will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects, with a strong focus on managing the procurement, inventory, and distribution of critical parts and components essential to project success. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and organizational skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while optimizing the parts supply chain.

How you´ll make an impact

  • Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of assigned projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure, ensuring adherence to Hitachi's methodologies and standards.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource allocation, and budget.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness of parts.
  • Implement and optimize parts inventory management systems and processes to minimize stockouts, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to stakeholders, including senior management, team members, and clients.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement within both project management and parts management functions.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or PMP certification is a strong plus.
  • At least a couple of years of progressive experience in project management, with a significant focus on managing parts, materials, or supply chain in a manufacturing, engineering, or technology-driven environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO) and industry-specific regulations.
  • Ability to travel as required for project needs.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
