Manager, Program Operations

Core responsibilities include:

• Lead program budget development, budget management, and expense management and tracking using the UCS budget management system
• Review and approve program expenditures in the accounts payable system and program travel/credit expenses
• Provide supervisory leadership to the office operations team and support DC office facility needs
• Collaborate with leadership to streamline program operations processes and support effective communication flows

This role supports UCS programs in operating effectively and efficiently to help solve the world's most urgent problems, contributing to a peaceful, healthy, and just world where science serves people and the planet.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Five to seven years of relevant nonprofit financial and budget management experience
• Experience with managing staff or consultants and developing/managing budgets
• Hands-on experience with a budget management system/software (Martus preferred)
• Bachelor's degree required, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This is a full-time remote position with a salary of $109,232. UCS offers excellent benefits and a rewarding work environment, with a 12% salary differential for California residents.
