Manager, People and Culture

• Support and strengthen people practices, systems, and culture across a global virtual team.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and staff development.
• Improve clarity and consistency in people practices and support systems that enable staff and managers to thrive.

This role ensures that Thousand Currents can effectively support grassroots movements for food, climate, and economic justice by building a thriving, values-aligned team that backs visionary leaders worldwide.

• Five or more years of relevant HR experience in a systems change focused nonprofit or philanthropic intermediary.
• Experience supporting U.S.-based employees, including benefits administration and compliance.
• Cross-cultural competency and experience in multinational nonprofits.
• Strong judgment, discretion, and relationship-building skills in a remote environment.

Compensation: $97,000 USD annually. Full-time, exempt position. Remote/US-based. Up to 5% travel. Benefits include health insurance, retirement, and other perks typical of a nonprofit employer.
