Manager of Technical Accounting

• Support the full range of technical accounting matters with emphasis on revenue recognition under ASC 606, including contract review, drafting revenue memos, and improving revenue processes and controls.
• Research and draft technical accounting memos for complex transactions, maintain accounting policies, and evaluate new accounting pronouncements.
• Support SEC reporting (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) by preparing footnote disclosures, tie-outs, and workpapers, and assist with earnings releases.
• Execute and document internal controls over financial reporting (SOX) and coordinate with external auditors on technical accounting and audit matters.

By ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance, this role supports Satellogic's mission to democratize access to Earth observation data, which helps solve pressing global problems like climate monitoring, agriculture, energy, and infrastructure.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA license preferred.
• 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with Big 4 or large regional firm experience strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience applying ASC 606 to customer contracts, including drafting revenue recognition memos.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica) and SEC reporting tools (e.g., Workiva).
