Mission
What you will drive
- Work with the government partnerships team on managing existing government partnerships and developing new ones, including supporting fundraising, proposal development, grant writing, contracting, reporting, relationship management, and event organization.
- Lead initiative-level partner engagement with 3-5 government partners, including relationship management, partner calls, and oversight of reporting.
- Manage the proposal development process from start to finish, including writing, work planning, budget development, responding to due diligence, and contract negotiations for new business development opportunities with government funders.
- Support tracking the effectiveness of key government partnerships across Acumen, ensuring consistent approaches and identifying areas for deeper strategic engagement.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in fundraising, account, or project management, ideally working with bilateral or multilateral donors, with grant writing and budgeting experience essential.
- Sector-level expertise in climate, private sector development, and entrepreneurship is desirable, including sectors like agriculture and energy access.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with operational skills such as problem-solving and project management, including the ability to work independently and deliver projects proactively within deadlines.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, highly collaborative, motivated, self-starter, with exceptional relationship and interpersonal skills, and authorized to work in the US or UK.

The salary range for this role in New York is $86,400-$103,000 plus a performance-based bonus. Acumen has a hybrid work arrangement in New York or London, with equal pay determined through comparison to a cohort of employees in the market at the same level of accountability.
