Responsibilities

The core responsibilities of this role include:
* Manage the G/L team and oversee end-to-end close processes to produce comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial statements
* Serve as a strategic partner to Finance, Treasury, and Operations, implementing structure and internal controls to support rapid expansion
* Own the G/L and reconciliation functions while driving technical projects like new GAAP pronouncement adoption and growth initiatives
* Develop, maintain, and enforce detailed Month-End Close Schedule, assign tasks to team members, and lead close meetings

This role supports Bird's mission to transform urban mobility and create cleaner, more connected cities by ensuring rigorous financial compliance and enabling the company's rapid expansion through effective accounting management.

Required qualifications:

• University degree or College diploma in Finance or related discipline
• 6+ years of experience in accounting or finance professions
• 1+ years of people-managing experience
• CPA license and thorough understanding of US GAAP
• Experience managing complexities of multi-entity and multi-national organizations

Compensation and perks:

• Salary Range: $111,900 - 151,500
