Long Term Consultant: International Specialist: Gender Specialist - ADB LAO Sustainable Agrifood Systems Sector Project

• Support the PMU Gender Specialist to develop gender training packages and assist with trainings for project focal persons across various units.
• Develop outreach and incentive mechanisms to extend program benefits to women-owned and women-led enterprises in program clusters.
• Support Apex credit institutions to develop a gender-sensitive monitoring and reporting system and ensure timely implementation, monitoring, and reporting of gender equality results.
• Design training materials for Embedded Technical Advisors on integrating gender analysis and gender-responsive solutions into value chain studies, plans, and training programs.

This role contributes to food security and nutrition improvement and increased agricultural value addition in a climate resilient and gender-responsive manner in Lao PDR, focusing on empowering women and vulnerable groups through sustainable agrifood systems.

• Master’s degree in social science, economics, development studies, gender studies, or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years in gender and women’s economic empowerment related to access to credit and/or agricultural value chain development.
• Experience in designing and delivering gender equality training and in monitoring and evaluation systems, particularly when working with government counterparts.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken), with Thai or Lao language skills preferred.
