Litigation Legal Assistant

Core responsibilities:

• Prepare legal documents for filing including proofreading, formatting, assembling exhibits, and ensuring compliance with court rules
• File and serve paper and electronic filings in agency and court venues while managing legal team case files and litigation docket
• Research federal and state court rules and procedures, retrieve legal documents, and support attorneys with court admissions and administrative filings
• Coordinate case management tasks including calendaring deadlines, maintaining matter data, and handling document review for litigation and public records

This role supports groundbreaking legal cases that protect public health, endangered species, pollinators, farmworkers, and farming communities from the harmful impacts of industrial agriculture while promoting organic, ecological, and regenerative alternatives.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree, or Paralegal Certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, file management, Adobe Pro, and PACER/ECF
• Flexibility to work occasionally on weekends and evenings to meet filing deadlines
• Ability to function well under pressure and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines

Compensation and benefits include:

• Salary range of $54,000 to $85,000 depending on experience and location
