Litigation Legal Assistant

Core responsibilities include:

• Prepare legal documents for filing including proofreading, formatting, assembling exhibits, and ensuring compliance with court rules
• File and serve paper and electronic filings in agency and court venues while maintaining familiarity with relevant court procedures
• Manage legal team case files, maintain litigation docket, case files, and legal calendar, and coordinate case management tasks
• Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, coordinating legal recruiting, and assisting with onboarding of new staff

This role supports groundbreaking legal cases that protect public health, endangered species, pollinators, farmworkers, and farming communities from the harmful impacts of industrial agriculture, while promoting organic and regenerative alternatives to transform our food system.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree, or Paralegal Certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe Pro, PACER/ECF, and other litigation technology platforms
• Flexibility to work occasionally on weekends and evenings to meet filing deadlines
• Paralegal training, relevant experience, or background in environmental advocacy preferred but not required

Compensation and benefits include:

• Salary range of $54,000 to $85,000 depending on experience and location
