Legal Counsel

Core responsibilities:

• Be a trusted advisor to the carpool and energy saving certificate business teams in France and other European jurisdictions by providing creative solutions while ensuring compliance with regulations
• Managing any pre-litigations and litigations
• Drafting and negotiating all types of contracts (including commercial contracts, partnership agreements, marketing agreements, license agreements, etc)
• Collaborate with internal partners, and notably government relations team, to respond to requests from regulators

This role supports BlaBlaCar's mission of enabling community-based travel through carpooling and bus services, which reduces individual car usage and promotes more sustainable transportation options across 21 countries.

Required qualifications:

• 6 to 8 years of experience as a qualified lawyer from an EU country, with experience in start-ups and new technology companies
• Knowledge and experience in dealing with a range of commercial issues such as e-commerce, platform regulation and consumer protection
• Knowledge and experience dealing with regulatory topics
• Full working proficiency in French, English and good knowledge of Spanish
