Legal Counsel

• Provide general legal support to Acumen's returnable fund activities throughout their lifecycle
• Manage legal projects across various stakeholders and coordinate timely legal involvement in transactions
• Support fund marketing, formation, oversight, deal diligence, documentation, and contract review
• Collaborate with the legal team on additional initiatives including venture capital investments and operational sustainability

This role contributes to Acumen's mission of tackling poverty by providing legal support for impact investments that build sustainable markets and create a more just and inclusive future, impacting millions of lives through returnable funds.

• Minimum 5 years experience practicing corporate law and managing legal projects across stakeholders
• Experience with funds formation, governmental funders, and impact-oriented organizations preferred
• Strong organizational, diplomacy, and communication skills with ability to work under pressure
• Must be licensed to practice law in the US with a JD or equivalent and authorized to work in the US

Salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 USD plus performance-based bonus. Acumen has equal pay determined through market comparison. Hybrid work model with 3 days in the office.
