How to Apply for Lead Product Manager, Payments & Trust

at Lime

🏢 About Lime

Lime is a leader in micromobility, operating shared e-scooters and bikes in over 200 cities globally. With a mission to build a future where transportation is shared, affordable, and carbon-free, Lime offers a fast-paced environment where product decisions directly impact millions of rides and urban sustainability.

About This Role

As Lead Product Manager for Payments & Trust, you will own the entire payments experience—from rider onboarding to billing and fraud prevention. This role is critical to Lime's growth and profitability, as you'll drive payment method expansion, optimize conversion, and reduce losses through intelligent risk systems.

💡 A Day in the Life

Start your day reviewing payment conversion metrics and fraud alerts, then meet with data science to refine risk models. Afternoon is spent with engineering on a new local payment method integration, followed by a stakeholder sync with marketing on LimePrime promotions. You end the day drafting a product spec for a trust feature.

🎯 Who Lime Is Looking For

  • Has 6–10 years of PM experience with a focus on consumer-facing payments, fintech, or marketplace transactions.
  • Demonstrates a track record of improving conversion, revenue, or cost reduction through data-driven product decisions.
  • Understands fraud/risk systems and can partner with data science and engineering to build scalable trust solutions.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and can balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.

📝 Tips for Applying to Lime

1

Quantify your impact in previous roles—e.g., 'increased payment conversion by 15%' or 'reduced fraud losses by 20%'.

2

Highlight experience with local payment methods (LPMs) or expanding into underbanked markets.

3

Show your understanding of Lime's business model: high-volume, low-margin transactions where payment optimization directly affects unit economics.

4

Tailor your resume to emphasize product ownership of end-to-end payments flows, not just features.

5

Include a brief cover letter that connects your payments expertise to Lime's mission of accessible urban transportation.

✉️ What to Emphasize in Your Cover Letter

['Your specific experience with payments, fraud, or trust systems at scale.', "How you've driven measurable business outcomes like conversion, retention, or cost savings.", 'Your passion for micromobility and sustainable transportation.', 'Your ability to collaborate with data science and engineering to build risk models.']
