Lead Platform Engineer

Core responsibilities:

• Act as technical lead for development of a digital organizing platform and support additional custom project work
• Assist in technical design and architecture, setting standards, implementing features, and addressing bugs
• Establish best practices and processes around testing, security, and maintenance of the platform
• Help evaluate and mentor future team members as the company grows

This role creates positive change by developing digital organizing platforms that advance progressive causes via mobilization and campaigning, supporting nonprofits and political campaigns in their mission-driven work.

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years development experience with Go or similar backend language
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, git, and team coding environments
• General familiarity with common web application stacks
• Excellent communication abilities with leadership and clients
• Experience working from home with limited direct oversight
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency with work authorization

Compensation and benefits:

• Annual salary range: $110,000-150,000
