Lead DevOps Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. This is a full-time position based in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize infrastructure needs
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of our cloud infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and provide guidance on cloud infrastructure design and implementation
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 infrastructure support
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a focus on cloud infrastructure
- Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure
- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance regulations
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearances
