Mission

What you will drive

This position provides management and technical oversight support to the team of nuclear engineers designing, developing, and conducting analyses of a nuclear reactor or nuclear facility.

  • Support the execution of the design, analysis, or evaluation in assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program/project requirements.
  • Lead design cycle sprints and provide direction to ensure the convergence of efforts of engineering team members, partners, and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality engineering work products, on schedule and within budget.
  • Support the management of engineering resources across multiple projects and ensure qualified engineers are performing assigned work.
  • Influence and support the development of strategy, methodology and technical tools for the area of responsibility.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Typically, seven years of engineering experience. Graduate degrees typically count as two plus years of experience.
  • Technical experience and proven expertise in one or more of the following areas: reactor core design and analysis, radiation shielding design and analysis, nuclear fuel analysis and qualification, criticality safety, reactor multiphysics analysis, nuclear analysis software development, verification and validation, or other areas of nuclear engineering or nuclear physics relevant to the design and analysis of small modular reactors, microreactors, and nuclear facilities.
  • Experience with Reactor Physics codes and methods (MCNP, SCALE, SERPENT) and experience with NQA-1 in a nuclear environment preferred.
