What you will drive
- Write original, compelling, professional reports and commentaries for publication
- Set a strategy for the team - including strategic goals, a research plan and influencing approach - and ensure that it is implemented
- Conduct cutting-edge financial analysis, financial modelling, and market analysis with integrity to evaluate key market trends for Australian coal production and exports
- Establish relationships and engage with relevant external stakeholders (e.g. investors, project partners, government departments) in Australia to influence policy and investment decisions

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- 7+ years of demonstrated experience in energy or related field
- A Master’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering and/or with professional certifications (e.g. CFA) or appropriate and relevant market-oriented experience in lieu of those degrees
- Expert understanding of finance, economics and quantitative analysis
- Excellent writing skills demonstrated through publications, reports, and commentaries
