Mission
What you will drive
- Build evidence for proportional representation (PR) by developing comparative models using computational social choice methods and local data.
- Support adoption of PR in local jurisdictions through evidence-based policy outputs and partnership with coalitions.
- Ensure equitable implementation of PR systems by providing research-supported resources for election administrators and voters.
- Improve confidence in election results under PR by publishing guidance on vote tabulation and public education.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Ph.D. in a relevant social science field (political science, public policy, sociology, etc.) awarded before September 1, 2026.
- Strong quantitative research skills (e.g., VoteKit/elections modeling, machine learning).
- Ability to write and speak clearly for technical, policy, and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated interest in Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility.
