What you will drive
Core responsibilities for Junior Research Fellows:
- Conduct research on AI policy, regulation, and legal frameworks (governance track) or focus on AI safety evaluation and mechanistic interpretability (technical track)
- Attend weekly seminar sessions from early April to late June 2026
- Dedicate at least 20 hours per week to research projects from early August to end of November 2026
- Develop high-impact projects in the field of AI and global catastrophic risks

What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications and skills:
- For governance track: Social science or humanities background
- For technical track: Programming experience (particularly in Python) and background in mathematics, statistics, or machine learning
- Completed undergraduate degree or on track to complete by early August 2026
- Ability to commit at least 7 hours per week from early April to late June 2026 and 20 hours per week from early August to end of November 2026
- Clear, careful, and analytical reasoning skills
- Interest in AI risks and research
- Self-motivated and intellectually curious
