Junior Data Engineer

Core responsibilities:

• Work alongside senior engineers to support the delivery of various data solutions and data pipelines
• Support workflow orchestration development using cloud tools like Apache Airflow or Azure Functions
• Assist in solution and system health monitoring - keeping track of key metrics while also troubleshooting deployed solutions and infrastructure resources with logging tools
• Support compliance with company-wide data governance activities such as metadata management and access controls

This role contributes to AECOM's mission by supporting the development and maintenance of data solutions and pipelines that enable data-driven decision making for infrastructure and environmental projects.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Experience with cloud tools like Apache Airflow or Azure Functions
• Ability to collaborate with data professionals (Data Analysts, Data Scientists) and contribute to requirements-gathering sessions
• Proactive, learning-oriented mindset with willingness to maintain continuous learning and keep up to date with emerging tools and technologies
• Ability to support technical reviews and identify/resolve issues
