About
Government Relations Manager
As a Government Relations Manager at TORC, you will play a crucial role in representing the company at various community events and developing strong relationships with key stakeholders. This position requires a strong understanding of government relations, community outreach, and public speaking.
Responsibilities
- Represent TORC at community events, town halls, business association meetings, chamber of commerce gatherings, and local conferences.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with state and local community leaders, workforce development organizations, first responders, academic institutions, and non-profit groups.
- Coordinate informational sessions, facility tours, technology demos, and educational programs to increase community awareness and understanding of autonomous trucking.
- Attend meetings with state and local government officials, transportation agencies, public safety departments, and regulatory stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of government relations, community outreach, and public speaking.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in government relations or a related field.
- Knowledge of the transportation industry and autonomous trucking technology.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Bachelorโs degree in Public Policy, Public Affairs, Political Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5โ7+ years of experience in legislative affairs, government relations, community engagement, or public affairs.
- Strong public-speaking and interpersonal communication skills; comfortable engaging diverse audiences.
- Experience working with elected officials, state and local government agencies preferred.
